Families

Welcome Families!

Our families are the heart and soul of Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan. Over the the past 20 years, we have supported over 400 families and children with a wide variety of disabilities and illnesses that receive treatment at Beaumont and C.S. Mott Children’s Hospitals. DMUM families have inspired more than 20,000 dancers to fight (and dance) for continued development in the field of pediatric rehabilitation. Dancers have had the privilege to build lasting relationships with our families through volunteering at therapies and at DMUM sponsored events. Over the course of the academic year, we host several different events bringing our DMUM families and dancers together to make unforgettable memories. But the family experience isn’t limited to just DMUM events, we have expanded our family program to include parental support networks and family connections. The Family Relations Committee will be working throughout the year to make each and every family’s experience the best it can be!

The Family Relations Committee and the entire DMUM family is here to support you and your family’s unique needs. We strive to make every family feel supported and celebrated throughout the entire year! It is our goal to help make more perfect days for kiddos with challenges and bring smiles to the kiddos’ faces. We strive to be more than just the letters FTK; we want to be For the Families! Whether you a returning or new Dance Marathon Family, we are beyond excited to be a part of your lives! We cannot wait to see you all and create some miracle memories with you all.
